Ottoman divan instructions
Use these steps only when your supplied fittings match the list below. Assembly is easier with two people.
Before you start
Unpack and check all parts on a protected floor. Keep the instructions supplied with your exact model to hand. If parts are missing or the fittings differ, contact us before continuing.
Tools required
- Spanner
- Screwdriver
- Drill
- Two people are recommended
Fixings supplied
- 4 white washer bolts for the headboard
- 8 chrome feet for the bases
- 2 metal U-clips to join the bases
- 1 bolt, 2 washers and 1 nut for the ottoman lid
1Fit the chrome feet
- Remove the bases from the packaging and open one base. The fixings bag should be inside.
- Turn both bases upside down.
- Remove the 8 chrome feet from the wrapping and push them firmly into the metal inserts on the bottom of the bases.
- If needed, use the palm of your hand to push the feet fully into place.
2Join the bases together
- Place the bases back on their feet.
- You will have one left piece and one right piece, marked on the packaging.
- Position both bases together.
- Use the 2 metal U-clips to secure the bases, with one at the foot end and one at the back.
- Push the U-clips firmly into place so the bases do not move.
- For a side-lift bed, either base can go on either side.
3Attach the headboard
- Remove the headboard from its packaging.
- Position it behind the base if it is a floor-standing headboard.
- Align the headboard with the pre-fitted T-nuts on the base.
- Insert the 4 white washer bolts through the headboard into the T-nuts.
- Tighten all 4 bolts securely.
4Attach the ottoman lids
- Open both lids.
- Each base has 2 ottoman jacks, making 4 in total.
- The screw will already be in the hole. Unscrew it first.
- Use a screwdriver to line up the hole on the ottoman jack with the hole on the lid. You may need to insert the screwdriver to open up the hole.
- Insert the screw and tighten it with a drill.
- Repeat for all 4 jacks, 2 on each base.
5Secure the lid bolt
- Take the bolt, washers and nut.
- Remove one washer and the nut.
- Insert the bolt through the hole in the ottoman lid.
- Add the remaining washer and nut on the other side.
- Tighten securely.
